Variety description

The variety belongs to the early-flowering large-flowered group of Clematis. The plant's flowers are hermaphroditic, simple, flat or nearly flat in shape, and directed upwards and to the sides.
The eight sepals are linear or narrowly lanceolate and are spaced widely apart. The color of the sepals varies from reddish-purple to lighter tones, sometimes with white stripes from the base to the middle of the petal. Externally, the variety bears a resemblance to Clematis 'Utop01' (Amaranthine).
