Variety description

The variety is intended for vertical landscaping, container growing, on patios and terraces. An adult plant reaches a height of 1.8–2.5 m. Abundant flowering begins at a height of 50–60 cm from the ground level from early summer to autumn.

Large flowers with a diameter of about 15 cm have a velvety texture. The coloration changes from reddish-purple to purple-blue with a pinkish-purple stripe. The variety belongs to pruning group 3, which requires shortening shoots to 15–30 cm above the ground in early spring.

The plant is winter hardy in USDA zones 4–9. It prefers fertile, drained soils and sunny areas with mandatory mulching or shading of the root zone. Parts of the plant are poisonous; contact may cause skin irritation.
