Variety description

The variety is a compact woody vine derived as a bud mutation of the "H. F. Young" cultivar. The plant has ternate light-green ovate leaves. Large flowers with a diameter of 12–15 cm are characterized by a center consisting of pointed petaloid staminodes.

The plant belongs to the second pruning group; flowering occurs on previous year's shoots in spring and on current year's shoots in late summer. The variety has winter hardiness in USDA zones 4–9 and can be grown in containers or on small garden supports.
