The EVIPO073 variety, known by the commercial name The Countess of Wessex, is a compact herbaceous perennial vine with a height of 90–120 cm. The plant is deciduous and blooms profusely from the base to the top in two waves during the summer and autumn period.

The flowers of the variety are large, reaching 14–17 cm in diameter. The petals are colored creamy-white with a soft pink tint and a distinct pink stripe in the center; the petal edges are slightly wavy. In the center of the flower are contrasting dark red or burgundy stamens.

The plant prefers locations with full sun or partial shade; in hot regions, protection of the roots from overheating is required. Agronomic practices include pruning the stems in late winter or early spring to a level of 15–20 cm.
