Variety description

The plant is a shrub or small tree reaching a height of about 2 meters. Leaves are green with a creamy-white margin; in late summer pink tints may appear on them, and in autumn the foliage turns shades ranging from pink to purple and red.
Flowering occurs in late spring or early summer, when the plant is covered in white or creamy-white bracts. In September, edible red-pink fruits are formed, resembling raspberries or strawberries in shape.
The variety prefers sheltered locations, in sunny or semi-shaded positions. It requires fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soils with a neutral or acidic reaction; it does not tolerate excessively dry or highly calcareous soils.
