Variety description

The plant has a narrow columnar shape with vertically growing shoots. An adult specimen reaches a height of up to 4 meters and a width of about 1 meter. Leaves are elliptical, dark green, with a bright palette of autumn shades from yellow to red.
Flowering occurs in late May and June. Flowers are capitate inflorescences surrounded by four white bracts. In September, edible red fruits resembling lychees ripen.
The variety withstands frosts down to -18...-20°C (zone 6b). It prefers well-drained soils and sunny areas or partial shade. It is characterized as a reliable plant for use in small gardens, and in single or group plantings.
