The plant has a weeping crown shape and very weak vigor, while being distinguished by a high ability to produce root suckers. The variety belongs to the Black Sea hazelnut group and is characterized as moderately productive.
The fruits have a long tubular husk, low kernel percentage (about 35%), and reduced oil and protein content. During flowering, the variety exhibits protandry and homogamy. Historically, the variety was used in breeding programs as material for clonal selection.
