Vining-type plant with good vigor, capable of quickly covering the soil. The fruits have a characteristic "onion" or "teardrop" shape, uniform in size, weighing from 0.8 to 1.5 kg. The flesh is orange, has a pleasant taste, and the skin is thin.
Open-pollinated variety, the period from sowing to harvest is 90–100 days, flowering occurs 7–10 days earlier than Hokkaido-type varieties. The shelf life of the fruits is 4–5 months.
