The variety is a kabocha-type hybrid (F1) and is classified as early-maturing or medium-early. The ripening period is approximately 95–100 days when direct-seeded and 80 days when transplanted. The plant forms short vines 1.8–2.4 meters long and has a bush or semi-bush growth habit.
The fruits are flattened-sphere shaped with bright orange-red skin. The fruit flesh is bright orange, sweet, with a nutty flavor and creamy texture; it contains no fibers and does not require long post-harvest ripening. Intended for culinary use.
The variety requires protection against powdery mildew, viruses, aphids, and slugs. Fruit keeping quality depends on the irrigation method: it is higher when using drip irrigation than with sprinkler irrigation.
