The period from emergence to technical maturity is 95–105 days. The trailing plant produces round, slightly flattened fruits weighing from 2 to 8 kg. A characteristic feature is the deep vertical yellow-orange ribs against the main gray-green color of the fruit.

The flesh is dense, dry, orange, and has a sweet taste. The fruits are distinguished by their ability for long-term storage and versatility of use: they are suitable for baking, preparing soups, porridges, and gnocchi. Young fruits can be eaten like zucchini; the variety is also used for decorative purposes.
