Fruits of the Adamsova variety are used mainly for the production of jams, jellies, and fruit distillates. In agronomic literature, this variety is also known as Quitte Adams and can be used as a rootstock, although its tendency toward dwarfing is noted.

The plant is sensitive to low temperatures and is prone to frost damage. The variety is mentioned in a number of comparative studies of quince collections in Central and Eastern European countries.
