The tree is medium-sized, 3–5 meters in height, with a compact crown. Fruiting begins in the 2nd–5th year after planting. The variety is partially self-fertile; cross-pollination with other quince varieties is recommended to increase yields.

The fruits are very large, weighing 250–500 g, with a pear-shaped, ribbed appearance. They have thin, lemon-yellow, pubescent skin and juicy, aromatic flesh. The fruits hold firmly to the branches and do not drop at maturity; they can be stored for 2 to 5 months.

The variety possesses relative winter hardiness and drought tolerance. It shows good resistance to fungal diseases, but is sensitive to fire blight. Harvesting maturity of the fruits occurs in October.
