The tree reaches a height of 3 to 7 meters, has a compact or wide crown and very large elongated-ovate leaves. Fruits weighing 230–400 g have a pear shape with distinct ribs, thin durable skin, and light-cream aromatic flesh with a sweet-and-sour taste.

The variety enters bearing in the 4th–5th year, characterized by winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and resistance to fungal diseases. The fruits have good keeping quality (up to 4–5 months) and transportability, ripening in October.

The quince of this variety is partially self-fertile; for higher yields, pollinators such as Bereczki Bőtermő, Portugal, Angers, and Champion are recommended. Fruits are mostly used for making jams, preserves, and wines due to the firm consistency of the flesh.
