The Oktiabryna variety tree is characterized as medium-sized, with a rounded moderately dense or compact crown, in which the main branches depart from the trunk at an acute angle. Fruiting begins in the 3rd year after planting; fruits are formed mainly on the previous year's shoots and fruit-bearing twigs.

The fruits of this variety have a rounded shape and a smooth surface. The variety has a high yield, the average values of which for 10–15-year-old trees are about 18 t/ha with a potential of up to 26–33 t/ha. The variety can act as a pollinator for other quince varieties, for example, Osenny Suvenir.
