The rootstock belongs to the semi-vigorous or semi-dwarfing group, providing a 30–50% reduction in the growth vigor of grafted varieties compared to seedling rootstocks. The root system is characterized by strength and good anchorage, but young trees require support. Root frost resistance is down to -14°C.
The plant possesses resistance to crown gall, woolly aphid, nematodes, and pear wilt, and adapts well to calcareous soils with high pH. At the same time, sensitivity to fire blight and leaf spot is noted. Compatibility with most pears is good, but an interstock is required for certain varieties.
