ActiveCydonia Mill. · Quince
10 August 2026
The tree is vigorous and tall, forming a dense crown with upright branches. During the spring flowering period, the plant is covered with large pinkish-white flowers. The variety possesses good winter hardiness and drought tolerance, however, it can be susceptible to Monilinia and codling moth damage.
The fruits have a pear-like or angular shape, their weight varies from 270 to 600 g. The skin becomes golden-yellow upon ripening and is covered with a tomentose coating. The firm light-yellow flesh is distinguished by a strong aroma; due to astringency and hardness, the fruits in their fresh state are primarily used for thermal culinary processing.
