Variety description

10 August 2026

The Opal variety belongs to early hybrid artichoke varieties. Morphologically, it is an improved form of the "Violet de Provence" type, superior to the original type in inflorescence size.

The plant has high productivity and is intended for fresh consumption as a gourmet product. Due to its early maturation, the variety is suitable for cultivation in regions with mild climates for harvesting in late autumn or the winter period.
