The variety is a first-generation seed hybrid, which distinguishes it from traditional vegetatively propagated forms. The plants form a deep taproot system, allowing for the efficient use of soil moisture and nutrients. The variety is responsive to irrigation, the deficit of which negatively affects the weight and number of heads.
In a Mediterranean climate, the application of gibberellic acid is required to initiate flowering in the year of sowing, as without treatment the plant typically flowers in the second year after a cold period. In commercial cultivation, to obtain marketable products, it is necessary to adhere to sowing dates and ensure quality soil drainage for the prevention of fungal diseases.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
