The plant has a compact, upright or broad bushy habit, reaching a height of 20–30 cm. The foliage is evergreen, medium-sized, and dark green. The flowers are large, bell-shaped like small pitchers, and colored in a pink hue.
Flowering is abundant and prolonged, lasting from July to September or October. The variety is moderately winter hardy; in regions with severe climates, it requires protection or maintenance in containers in sheltered locations. For successful cultivation, acidic soils with good drainage are necessary.
The variety is used in landscape design for alpine gardens and heather gardens, as well as for group plantings and container cultivation. In March-April, light pruning of shoots is recommended to maintain shape and prevent the lower part of the shrub from becoming bare.
