The plant is an interspecific hybrid of Daboecia cantabrica and Daboecia azorica. The variety is a dwarf evergreen shrub with light green foliage, which may acquire lighter shades during the summer period.
The flowers of the variety are large, urceolate or bell-shaped, and are white in color. The flowering period of the plant occurs in the autumn months, from September to November.
Like other hybrids of the D. × scotica group, the variety is characterized by the presence of smaller leaves compared to D. cantabrica, which allows it to be used for weed suppression. The plant requires planting in sunny areas with acidic soils and exhibits sensitivity to severe frosts.
