The plant has light green foliage. After 4 years, provided it is pruned, the height and width of the shrub reach 50 cm. The variety is used for landscaping, growing in containers or tubs, or as a groundcover plant.

Flowering occurs from July to October, and the flowers are red. The plant prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations and slightly acidic, permeable soils. It is characterized as conditionally winter-hardy, requiring protection in severe or windy winters, and is attractive to pollinating insects.
