The variety is a well-branched subshrub with an upright growth habit, reaching a height of 15 to 30 cm. The plant's leaves have a dark green, glossy surface. The flowers are large, bell-shaped, colored bright red, and complemented by green sepals.
The flowering period lasts from the beginning of summer until September or October. The plant prefers acidic, well-drained soils rich in organic matter and is sensitive to waterlogging or alkaline environments. In cold climate conditions, the variety requires protection from severe frosts and winter winds.
