The variety Lumix is classified as very late-maturing in terms of inflorescence emergence time in accordance with international testing methodologies. During DUS (distinctness, uniformity, and stability) trials, the variety is used as a standard for natural plant height during the inflorescence emergence phase.

The plant is intended for forage purposes. Detailed data on agronomic characteristics, such as resistance to diseases, lodging, or chemical composition of the produce, are not provided in open publications.
