The variety belongs to the very early or early maturity groups. The plant forms a semi-erect or intermediate type of bush with stiff, long stems and high tillering. The leaves are linear, dark green, without pubescence, and with a waxy coating. The inflorescence is a green, spreading panicle of medium length with an anthocyanin tint; the seeds are trihedral and grey-yellow.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and lodging resistance; it regrows quickly in the spring and recovers intensively after cuttings. The protein content in the dry matter is approximately 11.1%, fiber is 33.0%, calcium is 0.37%, and magnesium is 0.17%. During the growing season, it provides 3–4 cuttings and is suitable for both mowing and grazing.
