The variety was obtained as a result of a controlled cross between Dianthus barbatus and Dianthus superbus. It is a small-flowered carnation with single, non-double flowers.
The lilac-colored petals have white serrated edges. The corolla profile is flat, and the flowers have a strong fragrance. The buds are cylindrical in shape, and the calyx has five flat lobes. The ovary is columnar, and the pistil styles are of medium length.
