The variety is used for establishing hayfields, pastures, and silage harvesting. Studies confirm stable nutritional value indicators of the forage and the variety's influence on daily weight gain of livestock during grazing in the spring-summer period.

Festorina demonstrates the ability to produce dry matter under diverse conditions, from regions with low accumulation of active temperatures to semi-arid Mediterranean climates. The plant possesses a deep root system and is being studied for resistance to stress factors, including soil salinity.
