The variety is intended for cultivation both on irrigated lands and in rainfed conditions of cool regions. It was obtained as a result of breeding work with local genetic material of wild forage grasses.
The plant possesses pronounced winter hardiness and leafiness. In comparative trials, the variety showed high productivity when grown without irrigation, outperforming foreign analogues in this indicator.
