The variety is used primarily as a forage crop. Its productivity has been studied during European agronomic trials, including as part of mixtures with alfalfa, as well as for ground cover in olive groves.
In scientific research, the variety was evaluated for dry matter yield, competitiveness, disease resistance, winter hardiness, and heading dates. In a number of reports, the variety is characterized as endophyte-free, which is significant for preventing the reduction of livestock productivity.
