The variety was created based on selection from the Advance and Royal Q 100 varieties, being an improved and earlier version of the latter. The fescue is characterized as an intermediate type, combining the biological traits of continental and Mediterranean varieties.
The plant possesses a high rate of establishment and active growth during the winter period. The variety is distinguished by an early and concentrated flowering period, improved leaf sanitary condition, and high forage digestibility comparable to perennial ryegrass during the summer time.
By vegetation cycle, the variety is classified as early. Morphologically, it differs from its predecessor in the number of internodes on the stem, however, precise numerical data on plant height or lodging resistance are absent.
