Greenvie belongs to the Festuca rubra rubra subspecies and is a type of red fescue with pronounced creeping shoots and rhizomes. The plant is oriented towards forming a dense sward under regular mowing.
The variety is intended for use in lawn mixtures and professional landscaping, including areas requiring mowing to a height of 10–15 mm. The variety underwent testing for visual appeal, shoot density, and color characteristics, and its resistance to the causal agent of red thread was also evaluated.
