Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is the result of crossing Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) and tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) using the backcrossing method of the hybrid with Italian ryegrass. In terms of its characteristics and growth type, it belongs to the group of Festulolium of the ryegrass type.

The plant is characterized as short-lived, exhibiting the highest productivity and vigor in the first year of exploitation. The variety is valued for its high content of readily available energy and ease of ensiling, due to which it is primarily used for fodder production, although it is also suitable for grazing.

In a long-term cultivation cycle, the productivity indicators of the variety may decrease compared to Festulolium hybrids of the festucoid type. Specific data on plant height and resistance to specific types of diseases are not presented in available sources.
