Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety «AΪDINIA» is a traditional local fig cultivar adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region, specifically to volcanic soils. It belongs to genetically confirmed Mediterranean landraces.

The fruits of this variety are characterized by their large size. Unlike other local Lesbos varieties, whose harvest is carried out by collecting fallen fruits from the ground, the fruits of the «AΪDINIA» variety are picked directly from the tree.
