The tree is moderately vigorous with a spreading crown. Leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed, with crenate margins and petioles having a greenish-yellow tint at the base of the leaf blade.
Fruits are large, reaching 90–120 g, have a flattened asymmetrical shape with pronounced longitudinal ribs and thick skin. Historical descriptions also mention a conical fruit shape and yellow color.
The variety is uniferous and self-pollinating. It is valuable as an element of Apulia's biodiversity and is intended primarily for local consumption.
