The variety originates from the Apulia region, Italy. The tree is characterized by vigorous, spreading growth. Leaves are medium-sized, 3–5-lobed, with wavy-serrated margins and a medium or long petiole.

The fruiting type of the variety is uniferous, pollination type is parthenocarpic. Fruits are small, weighing 20–50 g, having a spherical, asymmetrical shape, flattened at the apex. Skin color is brown with irregular violet-brown stripes.
