The variety forms one main crop per season. The fruits are characterized by a large size, brown skin color, and light-red fleshy pulp. The taste of the fruits is moderately sweet with a pronounced aroma; the sweetness intensity increases upon full ripening.

This variety is a traditional local variety of Greece and is included in the collections of scientific institutions involved in the study of subtropical crops. It is intended for use in fresh and dried form.
