The variety is a historical cultivar from the Kurpfalz region. It is a vigorous tree capable of reaching a height of over 5 meters and a width of up to 4 meters, which begins branching at a height of about one meter and produces few root suckers. The leaves are five- or seven-lobed with deep sinuses.
The plant belongs to the Unifera type, producing one harvest per year, starting in July. The fruits are small, weighing 30–35 g, on long pedicels, have a yellow-green skin prone to cracking upon ripening, and very sweet flesh with many seeds.
The variety possesses high resistance and is capable of withstanding frosts down to -22°C (zone 6a).
