The cultivar group includes the varieties Natalese Nera and Natalese Bianca. Natalese Nera fruits have a red-black color and possess good processing qualities, particularly in the production of dried products.

The plant belongs to bifere cultivars, producing two harvests per year. Fruit ripening occurs at late dates, beginning in September and continuing until November or December. The variety responds positively to inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, which promotes root system development.
