The variety is traditional for the eastern part of Spain and the Aragon region. The plant is of the bifere type, meaning it produces two harvests per year. Breva ripens in the third week of June, and the main crop of fruits forms on current-year shoots and ripens in the period from the beginning of August to the end of September.
The fruits have dense flesh and a sweet taste, with dark purple, almost black skin. Brevas are characterized by large size, elongated shape, and the presence of a long stalk, while the main crop fruits are medium-sized. The plant is noted for high hardiness and moderate productivity.
