An early ripening variety, bearing fruit from August to September or October. The plant has a compact growth habit and, under favorable conditions, reaches a height of about two meters, which allows it to be grown both in the open field in regions with a temperate climate and in containers.
The fruits are large, pear-shaped, red-purple, blue, or green in color, and possess sweet and aromatic flesh. The variety is characterized by relative frost resistance down to -10…-15 °C; if frost-damaged during severe winters, it is capable of rapid recovery through the growth of new shoots.
The plant demonstrates moderate resistance to excess moisture in the summer period, which can negatively affect fruit quality. In some cases, this variety is considered a synonym or close analogue of the variety Longue d’Aout.
