The variety has a compact growth habit, reaching a height of about 2 meters with a similar width, although in unrestricted conditions it can grow to 3–4 meters. The fruit ripening period falls between August and September, sometimes extending to October.

The fruits are pear-shaped, colored red-violet or purple-brown, and have sweet flesh and thick skin. The variety withstands frosts down to -15°C; in case of severe freezing, the aerial part is capable of active regeneration.

The plant is suitable for open field cultivation in sunny locations and for container culture. The fruits are versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and canning.
