The variety is an 'extreme day-neutral' type adapted for off-season fruiting. It was created as a replacement for the Portola variety, maintaining its high yield while improving product quality characteristics.
The fruits of the variety are characterized by increased firmness, which ensures their shelf life and suitability for transport, as well as a sugar content exceeding that of the Portola variety by approximately 1%.
The plant possesses moderate resistance to charcoal rot, moderate susceptibility to Verticillium wilt and Phytophthora crown rot, and susceptibility to Fusarium wilt.
