The garden geranium Geranium pratense «Black Beauty» is a compact perennial plant with a height of 20–50 cm. It possesses deeply dissected black-purple leaves and small blue-violet flowers. The variety is winter-hardy, blooms in early and mid-summer, and is used in borders and containers.
The pelargonium «Aristo Black Beauty» belongs to the regal pelargonium group Pelargonium grandiflorum. It is a heat-loving compact plant with a height of 15–20 cm with dark burgundy foliage and large velvety burgundy flowers with a pink rim. It is cultivated as an indoor plant or an annual for containers.
