The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained from Israel and tested in the Southeastern Anatolia region. It is used in breeding to increase yield and improve fiber characteristics.
During studies, the variety demonstrated a high fiber elongation rate (7.45%), as well as superiority in fiber length, fineness, and strength compared to non-hybrid varieties. The variety is used as an example in UPOV documentation when describing cotton fiber strength characteristics.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
