ActiveGossypium L. · Cotton
10 August 2026
The variety was developed by specialists at the Cotton and Industrial Plants Institute in Sindos and was widely distributed in the regions of Northern Greece. It is characterized by early maturity, which ensured its adaptation to local climatic conditions, and is distinguished by good yield and fiber quality indicators.
In agronomic research, the variety was used to study interactions with cotton aphids and thrips, as well as in breeding work aimed at increasing resistance to Verticillium wilt. Based on it, work was conducted using mutation breeding and within-variety selection methods to create new experimental lines.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
