The main morphological feature of the series is the leaf shape, which helps reduce the risk of boll rot development and provides partial resistance to spider mites and whiteflies. The plants have an intermediate to strong growth habit with shortened fruiting branches.

Varieties of this series are known for their resistance to bacterial blight and high fiber quality, although some modifications show micronaire sensitivity to growing conditions. The cultivars are adapted to irrigated and rain-fed lands, distinguished by increased water-use efficiency.

The series includes both traditional and transgenic varieties intended for industrial cotton production. The line covers many cultivars with various maturity periods and agrotechnical indices.
