Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by medium-sized bolls having a conical shape with blunt tips. Regarding pathogens, the variety possesses moderate to high resistance to Fusarium wilt and low to moderate resistance to Verticillium wilt.
The variety was a descendant of lines selected following the Stoneville 7 variety and was intended for commercial cultivation, including irrigated land. In scientific works, it is frequently used as a comparative sample when studying plant physiology and in genetic research.
