Variety description

The plant forms a dense clump of leathery, deeply dissected, dark green leaves. The flowers are double, of a purple-pink shade with characteristic speckling, and are situated on upright stems. The flowering of the variety occurs in the autumn period.

Partial shade and heavy soils with a neutral or alkaline reaction are preferred for cultivation. The plant does not tolerate waterlogging or excessive soil dryness, requires protection from cold winds, and regular mulching. All parts of the plant are toxic and can cause skin irritation.
