Variety description

The plant is a hybrid obtained by crossing H. niger and H. lividus. It has leathery dark green leaves on reddish stems and reaches a height of about 40 cm at maturity. It possesses a sturdy shrub structure and is resistant to diseases, pests, and lodging.

Flowering is profuse, beginning in the winter period and continuing until early spring. It is used as an ornamental plant for open field and container cultivation. All parts of the plant are toxic; contact may cause skin and eye irritation.
