Variety description

The plant forms dense clumps 30–45 cm in height with dark green foliage, sometimes having a grayish tint or marbled pattern. The flowers are large, cup-shaped, and outward-facing. The variety is a hybrid of Helleborus niger and Helleborus sternii.

The plant is winter hardy, adapted to hardiness zones 5a–8b. It prefers partial shade and organic-rich loamy soils with good drainage. It is used in ornamental gardening for landscaping shady corners, borders, rock gardens, and container gardening.
