Variety description

The plant forms a compact bush 40–50 cm in height. The foliage is compound, dark green in color, with serrated edges. The flowers are solitary, of a rich dark purple-red shade.

The flowering period occurs from January to April. The variety possesses good winter hardiness and is adapted for USDA zones 5 and 6. Partial shade and moist, well-drained soils enriched with humus are preferred for cultivation. The plant is poisonous if ingested and is used for ornamental purposes in garden beds and containers.
